In January of 2006, we began a process to create a new vision for our school. During this process a new mission emerged that notes our desire for excellence. We aspire to be the “Finest School In Florida” where EVERYONE enters to learn and goes forth in excellence. We grappled with the words many hours and discussed each one in detail. The mission is intended for all, not just school employees, but students, parents, and members of the community. Please help us as we strive for excellence.

My goals:

1. To teach our students what we are mandated to teach, but also incorporate into the process the ideals of enjoyment of learning, character and patriotism.

2. To work together as a team.

3. Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere where students want to come to school and employees want to come to work.

4. Empower those who work here and learn here to be active in the improvement process of our school.

Personal Professional Vision

My purpose in life’s journey is to seek the wisdom to lead by facilitation through constant learning and self-discovery to improve the quality of our educational system.

My vision is to improve the quality of work life and performance in school for students and staff by working cooperatively, creatively and calmly on opportunities.

I will take the risk to implement the solutions while taking the time to reflect which will enable me to learn from the opportunity and discover the uniqueness and pleasure in every day.

We met our goal of obtaining a grade reflective of a high performing school. Our school grade increased from a “C” to an “A”! Tolar is on the right track. Join us this year on the Tolar Express as we continue to make progress. We ARE the “Finest School In Florida”.
